5-8 Year Olds
Skills Developed
For 5-6 year olds the emphasis is on age appropriate skills, including movement skills, throwing and receiving skills, and an introduction to court movement, agility training, and coordination drills with tennis related games and fun. This class focuses on the skills needed before players can be introduced to tennis. There is one level for this program.
For 7-8 year olds the emphasis is on advancing pre-tennis skills and introducing tennis specific court movement, agility training, stroke production, and beginning match play. There are 4 levels for this program. All players who are new to STC should register for Level 1.
Class meet once a week. Class sizes are limited to no more than 8 players per instructor, with a minimum of 4 players required for a class to form.
What do players need to attend class?
