Get ready for high energy fun at the area’s best summer tennis camp! Tennis is a sport that can be played for life and we specialize in teaching junior players how-to play the game and be a team player. Every Friday afternoon features match play for all levels + a pizza lunch. Parents are welcome to watch the action and cheer on their player!

WE’RE SERVING SUMMER CAMP FUN!

We know the importance of finding a fun and healthy activity for kids to participate in during the summer. Tennis provides a perfect balance of physical exercise, mental stimulation and social interaction.

Our certified coaches focus on proper technique and age-appropriate skills so players can start PLAYING THE GAME right away! We’ve also incorporated fun activities, competitions and prizes to keep kids engaged and motivated.

NEW THIS YEAR: We’re offering full-day camp (9AM-4PM) Monday – Thursday in conjunction with City of Southlake’s Parks & Recreation Department. At the end of tennis camp at 12PM, players will be transported to The Marq (across the parking lot from our facility) to participate in afternoon programs.

Our summer camp curriculum includes:

  • Certified tennis professionals teach the acclaimed Evolve9 program on indoor and outdoor courts.
  • Players are taught how to play points and games. Skills focus on controlling and directing the ball to help win points. Coaches work on developing the athletic skills, court movement, and basic tennis technique to help in match play at this level.
  • Players are grouped by both age and ability (class ratio 8:1).
  • Players demonstrate what they’ve learned during Match Play every Friday (parents are welcome to watch!) + pizza, games and tennis quizzes.
  • Players are exposed to the bigger world of tennis with themed weeks named after famous tennis tournaments.

ALL DAY CAMPS

  • Players will bring their own lunch
  • STC staff will supervise the lunch
  • Players will be transported to Champions Club (Monday – Thursday) to participate in afternoon programs.
  • Registration is separate from our camps and that we are not responsible for cancellations/changes in these camps.
  • STC is not responsible for any cancellations/changes in these camps.

GAIN CONFIDENCE AND CAMRADERIE ON THE COURTS!

We believe every child can benefit from learning to play tennis, regardless of their skill level or experience. In addition to physical fitness, tennis improves social skills, boosts confidence, increases ability to concentrate, and enhances quick decision-making.

  • Using the Evolution Kids curriculum, the same program used at the John McEnroe Tennis Academy, players are introduced to age-appropriate skills.
  • The court size, balls, and racquets are scaled to the age/size of the player
  • Players work cooperatively in class, freely coaches to give individual feedback, instead of waiting in a line.
  • Campers earn points during camp, which are traded in at the end of the week at our World Tour Store.
  • Using the Evolve9 process, players are introduced to new skills at each level. The ball and court size are matched to the skills being taught. Players work cooperatively in class, freeing our coaches to make personal improvements. We are committed to helping each player find their full potential as individuals and as players.

If your child is participating in full day camp Monday through Thursday, we will transport them to The Marq (across parking lot from our facility) at 12PM for afternoon activity through City of Southlake’s Parks & Recreation Department. Click here to view programs and register or call (817) 748-8019.  NOTE: You will be billed separately by City of Southlake for afternoon camps.

Players will need to bring their Player Equipment Bag, a 21-23 inch tennis racquet, and a water jug every day. Players need to wear sunscreen and a hat/visor. Players should wear shorts/shirt that has a place to hold balls when playing. Player Equipment Bags are given out the first day of camp.

Players take a snack break every morning. Players are welcome to bring a snack each day or to buy a snack package for $20.00 per week.

Yes, our Pro Shop carries racquets, shoes, apparel and accessories for junior players. Click here to receive 25% coupon (if your child is registered for summer camp).

Camp fees must be paid at the time of registration. Camp fees are refundable up to 7 days before start date. Players may switch weeks if space is available. If your child is registered in Camp Mania, you must contact City of Southlake to cancel.
