SOS Tennis Benefit

Welcome to the 28th Annual Annual SOS Tennis Benefit. For over 20 years STC has hosted this three day event, which is one of the largest tennis charity events in Texas.

The SOS Tennis Benefit raises funds for SafeHaven, two local women’s shelters in Tarrant County.  The benefit features a fun day of tennis, a light breakfast and lunch, and a gift raffle.  The event raises funds for summer camps/programs for the children at SafeHaven. Due to our generous sponsors, 100% of the entry fees are donated to SafeHaven. 

Event Dates

The SOS Tennis Benefit is played over three days. Each day registration/warm up starts at 8:15 am and the event concludes around 1:00 pm.

For players who are rated 3.0 and above, the event format is set partner, where each team will play against other teams in a round-robin, with a playoff at the end.  There is an A and B division in each level, with the A division for more competitive level players. Players register as a team.

For players who are rated 2.0-2.5, the event format is for individual players in a round-robin format where they switch partners each round. Players register as individuals.

Players are welcome to play on more than one day. The entry fee is $50.00 per player, and includes the event, a light breakfast/lunch and a player gift.

Event Purpose

The SOS Tennis Benefit is sponsored by Mid-Cities SOS, a local non-profit run by women devoted to raising awareness of domestic violence in the local community, assisting victims of domestic violence to seek the help they need, and to offer financial support to SafeHaven, two local women’s shelters. Additional Ways to Help

Each day we will be collecting requested supplies for summer camp. SafeHaven is looking for donations of

  1. New children’s swimsuits
  2. Children’s flip flops
  3. Pool towels
  4. Box fans
  5. Pillows for sleeping

In addition, there will be a van out in front of the tennis center every day during the event to collect donations for the shelter and their resale shop Berry Good Buys.

We are accepting donations for the gift raffle as well. Donations of gift cards to local restaurants and services are being collected, along with gift baskets. Please contact sostennis@southlaketennis.com for more information.
