Southlake Tennis Center has been awarded USTA National Facility of the Year in 2011 and 2020, Texas Section Organization of the Year, Texas Section QST Facility of the Year, PTR Facility of the Year, and TIA National Large Facility of the Year. Located within Bicentennial Park in Southlake, Texas, STC is a city-owned facility with 17 lighted hard courts and 2 indoor courts that are climate controlled.  STC is the largest public tennis facility in Northeast Tarrant County. Open seven days a week, STC maintains a full schedule year-round with adult league play, a junior program for all ages and levels, private and group lessons, and tournaments.

Our mission is to provide excellent instruction for players of all levels, from beginner to tournament player.  We offer opportunities for play at all levels, with drills, leagues, and tournaments for juniors and adults.  Our teaching staff has all played collegiate tennis and attend professional training sessions throughout the year with the USTA, USPTA, PTR and Evolve 9.  The staff is USPTA/PTR certified, with additional certifications in teaching adults, juniors and competitive players.

Use the link above to request an account be created for you. This generally takes 24-48 hours. Once your account has been created, you can register and pay for classes online.

 

Frequently Asked Questions

Players need to have a member profile in our system to reserve a court.  Once you have a profile, you can call the Pro Shop at 817-421-5605 to reserve a court.

Court fees are $4.00 per person for Southlake residents and  $5.00 per person for non-residents. We ask that you make a reservation prior to coming to STC.  We do not currently have an online reservation system.

Residents can reserve up to 7 days in advance; non-residents can book a court up to 2 days in advance. Reservations must be cancelled within 24 hours. The person making the reservation pays for the court time for all participants.

STC has 2 indoor climate controlled courts that can be booked for play. The indoor courts are an additional fee of $30.00 for 1-1/2 hours of court time, and must be booked and paid for in advance. Once the indoor courts are booked, we are unable to accept cancellations. The indoor courts close 30 minutes prior to closing to allow for cleaning.

STC is a public tennis center, open to anyone who wishes to play at the facility. To play, you just need to register for a free account with us. Click here to join!

STC is open to the public, so you do not need to be a resident to play. There are different fees and reservation rules.

Southlake residents pay $4.00 per person and can reserve a court up to 7 days in advance. Non-residents pay $5.00 per person and can reserve up to 2 days in advance.

Our hours of operation are seasonally, but these are the general hours of the tennis center. We may close for special occasions or for inclement weather.

Awards

 

Court Reservations

Southlake residents owe $4.00 per person for up to 2 hours of court time. Non-residents owe $5.00 per person. Court fees are due at the time the reservation is made. The entire court fee is paid by the person who makes the reservation. Court fees cannot be pro-rated.

Outdoor courts may be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance. Reservations cancelled after that time are charged to the person who made the reservation unless the reservation is cancelled due to weather.

Southlake residents may reserve a court up to 7 days in advance. Non-residents may book a                       court up to 2 days in advance. You must have the name of all the players who are in your reservation at the time the court is reserved. Players may have no more than one court reservation at a time in the court book.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept online reservations at this time. Our courts are often busy, so we are unable to predict if courts will be available in advance. Please call 817-421-5605 for reservations.

 

Indoor Courts

We have 2 indoor courts that can be reserved using the same guidelines as the outdoor court. Courts are reserved for 1 ½ hours of court time.

The indoor courts cost an additional $30.00 for 1 ½ hours of court time. Players owe the regular court fees in addition to the indoor fee.

Indoor courts are paid at the time of reservation and cannot be cancelled once they have been booked.

 

Pro Shop

We have a full-service pro shop and carry racquets, bags, clothes, shoes, and tennis accessories for adults and juniors.

We offer stringing service with 24-hour turnaround. We have over 30 different strings to choose from. We charge $18.00 per racquet for labor.

We have loaner racquets that can be borrowed for $5.00 per racket. Balls can be purchased in the pro shop.

We have a programmable Playmate ball machine that is available to rent for $20.00 per hour. We require advanced reservations to rent the ball machine since it can only be used on specific courts.

Code of Conduct

STC is a public tennis center with numerous activities for adults and juniors.  We adhere to the guidelines outlined in Friends at Court.  Players are expected to dress in appropriate tennis attire, with tennis shoes that have non-marking soles.  Players are required to wear a shirt at all times.  We expect players to show common courtesy when using the courts and to refrain from behavior that is distracting to other players and spectators.  For a list of the current USTA rules and regulations for all levels of play please Click here.
