New to Tennis FAQs

Do I need a racquet?
You will be provided with a racquet when you check in for your first class.
Players should wear comfortable clothes that have pockets to hold balls.
We encourage players to purchase tennis shoes. Unlike regular athletic shoes, tennis shoes have support on the side of the shoe to prevent ankle injuries when moving side to side.
Yes! Players are welcome to reserve courts for practice. We can provide balls for your level when you check in at the front desk.
Your registration holds a slot in a specific class each week, whether or not you attend. We limit the number of players who can be in the class, so we are usually unable to accommodate requests for make-up classes.
Once you finish your Level 1 class, you will be automatically enrolled in a Level 2 class on the same day/time as your original class. You are free to move to a different day/time prior to the start of the next session.
There are 5 Levels to New To Tennis. Each level focuses on a different skill set so that you will graduate and be ready to play in an organized league by the end of Level 5.
We have weekly drills and league for players who graduate from our NTT program. Players can join league teams as well.
We encourage players who would like additional instruction to wait until they are in Level 3 classes. Private lessons work primarily on technique, so we want you to have most of the skills you will need before you work individually with a coach.
