Located within Bicentennial Park in Southlake, Texas, STC is a city-owned facility with 17 lighted hard courts and 2 indoor courts. STC is the largest public tennis facility in Northeast Tarrant County. Open seven days a week, STC maintains a full schedule year-round with adult league play, a junior program for all ages and levels, private and group lessons, and tournaments.
Our mission is to provide excellent instruction for players of all levels, from beginner to tournament player. We offer opportunities for play at all levels, with drills, leagues, and tournaments for juniors and adults.
Our teaching staff is USTA/PTR certified and have Safe Play designation. They hold certifications in junior development, adult pathways and competitive training.
Southlake Tennis Center has been awarded USTA National Facility of the Year in 2011 and 2020, Texas Section Organization of the Year, Texas Section QST Facility of the Year, PTR Facility of the Year, and TIA National Large Facility of the Year. We are a USTA Premier Facility, one of 50 in the US for excellence in customer service. .

Our History
A tennis destination Since 1999
Founded in 1999, Southlake Tennis Center has grown into one of the most recognized public tennis centers in the country. Located within Bicentennial Park, STC gives Southlake residents and surrounding communities a welcoming place to enjoy tennis year-round.
BUILT BY WOMEN WHO LOVE TENNIS
This tennis center fulfilled the vision of NETT, a USTA Community Tennis Association, and its president, Laura Gilbert. An accomplished pro player, Laura wanted to bring tennis to the Southlake community. With the assistance of Lynn Jumper and Robin Jones, these women worked tirelessly with the city of Southlake to make this facility a reality.
Laura remained active in NETT and went on to work for the Texas Section before retiring, helping communities in Texas to build their tennis programs. She was inducted into the Texas Hall of Fame in 2023. Lynn Jumper has remained active on the NETT Board, enriching the local tennis community. Robin Jones continued her advocacy for tennis, helping numerous communities to build facilities. She won the national Volunteer Exceptional Service Award in 2025.
ADDITIONAL EXPANSION
Recognizing that the tennis center had outgrown the original 13 courts, Stephen and Mia led a community fund-raising effort to add additional courts. Using the $40,000 they raised to begin the project, the city allocated funding for the additional 6 courts in 1996, bringing the total number of courts to 19.
In 2019, the city of Southlake completed a 2 year project to remodel the tennis center building and a grand re-opening was held in May. The following year, two of the existing courts were covered to provide indoor courts. Both of these projects were funded by SPDC (Southlake Parks and Development Board) who govern the parks specific sales tax allocation that is used for Parks and Rec in Southlake.
