Individualized Player Instruction

Southlake Tennis Center is a teaching oriented facility. We believe that tennis is more enjoyable when a player’s skills improve over time.  We are a skills based program that focuses on teaching players both technique and strategy.  Our programs are play based, with drills that are match specific.  All of our lessons are designed to help players continuously improve their games over time, no matter the age or level.

We suggest that players who are new to STC try one of our adult drills to meet other players at their level and be assessed by our teaching staff. This will give us the feedback we need to recommend all the activities we have available for you!

Weekly Adult Drills  We offer open drills for men and women by NTRP levels each week.  We have fast-paced workouts, instruction based drills and drills that focus on just one aspect of your game each week. There is a limit of no more than 8 players per drill. Click here for this season’s current schedule. Players can sign up online to reserve a spot in the drills, or call in on the day of the drill to hold a spot.

Adult League Team Drills   Teams can book team workouts for up to 4 players per court during the league season.  These lessons can be set up with one to three pros for 1 1/2 hours each week.  Teams that pre-book a series of 10 lessons receive a 10% discount (one free drill) during the season.  Click here to request more information about team drills.

Our USTPA and PTR certified pros all have collegiate playing experience, and several have played professional tennis.  Being a good player isn’t enough, so our pros are required to obtain multiple teaching certifications and attend on-going annual training in both adult and junior development.  We specialize in 10U training, using the Evolution curriculum.  Click here to see a list of all our pros.

Private Lessons   All of our pros are available for both private and group instruction of 30, 60 or 90 minutes.   Pricing varies based on the pro selected, the number of players in the lesson and the length of time. All lesson rates include your court fees.  Click here to request a private lesson.

Ball Machine  We have a Playmate ball machine available to rent for one or two players on the court. Advanced reservations are required. Players must be 18 years old to rent the ball machine. The cost is $20.00 per hour plus the individual court fee.
