STC Adult Leagues

STC offers in-house leagues for men and women with sign-ups four times a year. Each league session lasts for 7 to 9 weeks. Sign up for STC league play begins about 4 weeks prior to the start of the season.  Players can sign up online, or at the Pro Shop Desk.  We have different formats, from progressive leagues to set partner, divided into levels for competitive match play.  Questions about league play can be sent to leagues@southlaketennis.com

Summer Leagues 2022

Summer 2022 Leagues will start the week of June 6 and continue for 8 weeks.  Sign up by May 20 or until the league is full. All weather make-ups will take place at the end of the session. Women’s leagues are $80.00 per player for doubles leagues, $100.00 per player for singles/doubles. All leagues include court fees and balls. Men’s leagues are priced by season. Players are required to have the minimum rating of the drill to participate. For the enjoyment of all players, we reserve the right to move players to the correct level.

Instructional Leagues

Players sign up as either individuals or pairs. The league includes a 30-minute drill followed by 1 hour of coached doubles match play. Emphasis on good doubles strategy, learning to play with your partner and doubles tactics such as changing your position on the court.  League is limited to 8 or 16 players for 8 weeks.

Women’s 2.5 (Advanced Beginner) Instructional League, Mondays, 10:30-12:00 noon

Women’s 3.0 Instructional League, Wednesdays, 10:00-12 noon

Women’s 3.0-3.5 Instructional League, Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30 pm

Men’s 3.5-4.0 Instructional League, Wednesdays, 7:00-8:30 pm

Women’s Leagues

Progressive Doubles

Players sign up as individuals and play one set with each of the three other players on the court.  Players play with different people each week.  The format is one set to nine games, regular scoring. The player with the most points earned move up a court, the players with the least points moves down.

New To Tennis League

The NTT league is meant for players who are beginner/advanced beginners with little league experience. A pro will supervise the league to assist with formats/play. Players sign up as individuals and play different formats each week to help prepare players for league play.

Round Robin League

Players sign up as individuals and play 9 games with each of the other players on the court. Different players are placed on the courts each week. Play concludes by 2:30 pm

Women’s 2.5-3.0 Round Robin League, Mondays, 1:00 pm

Set Partner Doubles

Players sign up as a team and play one other team each week.  The format is two sets, regular scoring, and a 10 point tiebreaker.  The tiebreaker is played regardless of who has won the first two sets.

Women’s 3.5-4.0 Set Partner, Wednesdays, 7:00 pm (Must be rated 3.5 minimum)

Men’s Leagues

3.5-4.0 Progressive Doubles

Each player plays one 12 game set with each of the other three players on the court.  The player with the most points earned move up a court, the players with the least points moves down. This league is played continuously throughout the year, so players can join at any time and be prorated into the current session.

Singles/Doubles League

Players sign up as individuals and play one set of singles and one set of doubles each week. Players play with singles with a different player each week, then pair up to play doubles.
