Direct tennis training program for tournament level junior players. Provide a written curriculum and evaluation process for other pros. Establish benchmarks for player training. Evaluate performance of players in skill development and match play. Conduct parent meetings and informational seminars on a bi-annual basis. Organize and supervise travel for coaches and players to tournaments and other competitive events. Provide training to assistant coaches.
Organize activities and events related to this level. Attend on-going training for at least 5 hours a year. Academy director is in charge of coordinating the tournament level play through the
facility and does not direct all tennis activities. Reports to the Director of Tennis who manages the overall facility activities related to the facilities tennis programs. Supervise 6 employees within the Tournament Academy including the Assistant Academy Director and Academy Coaches.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Athletic Training or a related degree, plus four (4) years of experience. Requires experience playing in college level tennis; Junior Ranking (ITF); assistant coaching at the college level; Tennis Fitness/Conditioning Training; High Performance Evolve9 Competitive Training. Requires PTR High Performance Certification and Professional Level PTR 10U, 11-17 Certifications. Knowledge of TDM tournament software.
Requires travel as needed to take players to tournaments and attend professional trainings.
